This is a study from an Ashley Wood Painting. I really enjoy his brush work so I tried to accomplish that here with a new custom brush I created in painter. After I figure out why it won't let me export the brush, I'll share it here on my blog.

Another day of speed painting. For those who may be wondering, speed painting is painting from photographic reference (Usually found on the web) in 30 minutes and done digitally (on the computer). This one was much more successful than my first two. Probably because I chose the picture this time.

Here's a little digital study that I did in about 45 min. I did it as warm up sketch. At the original size you can really see how loose it is, but scaled down it looks a lot tighter.
