I'm still hanging in there! Work has been super busy but I am going to muscle through it.

Book-A-Day: Book 9
So I feel the need to explain myself, mostly because I'm feeling a little self conscious about the quality or craftsmanship of what I have been posting lately. The Book-A-Day project has always been about getting as many book ideas formulated in a single month as possible. That means that I really only have about an hour and a half to create each cover before I need to get back to the work that puts food on the table. So, please excuse the execution, it's all about the idea.

Book-A-Day: Book 1
Inspired by the great Jed Henry some fellow artists and I have started a courageous effort to create a book a day for the next 20 working days. I'll be posting them through thick and thin until the end. If you'd like to see my fellow artist friends ideas follow the links! Jason Kim and Matthew Armstrong

Utah Museum of Natural History - Grand OpeningThe Museum has just completed a brand new building to house it's many wonderful artifacts and exhibits. I was honored to be apart of it by contributing artwork to an entire children's section called "Our Backyard" as well as some other exhibits. The above is a small section of the over 400' of murals that I created for the Permanent Exhibit.
The Museum opens to the public for a Grand Opening Community Gala on November 17th, 2011. Gather up your young ones and come for a lot of fun! You can purchase tickets for the Grand Opening here.

Warm up sketches. The key to warm up sketches is to find good reference that inspires new ideas. Most of the time I type in a random description into gettyimages.com and up pops plenty of great reference to start from.

West Valley Trax Line Poster
This is a poster I just completed for the new West Valley Trax Line. The poster will be given out to Dignitaries, Heads of State, and the who's who of anything to do with UTA. It was a lot of fun to do and quite challenging because of the short amount of time I had to do it in.

Toy Story 3: The Video Game Concept Art
The below vehicles were paint over's of 3D models to help clarify paint schemes and prop attachments.
The below Goo Machine here went through several different looks. I think the original concept came from Sebastien Gallego and Matthew Armstrong. This was my version of it.

Toy Story 3: The Video Game Concept Art
The below concept was painted in collaboration with Lee Phung another concept artist at Disney. I did the layout drawing, he painted the building textures and I completed it off by adding in the environment and props.
Props for Sid's Haunted House
The below concept of Frankenstein's Lab was a paint over of a screen shot from the game. The basic geometry and lights were there as well as some textures. I painted in the lighting, effects, and some minor geometry changes.
